In 2005 het snelste race mokkel  Vandaag is bekend geworden dat Danica Patrick volgend jaar gaat uitkomen in de IRL voor het team van Bobby Rahal en David Letterman. Doordat Kenny Brack (moet) afzien van een comeback in de single seaters neemt deze dame zijn plekje over.
Dat deze dame kan rijden bewijzen de resultaten, de afgelopen twee jaar heeft ze heel wat erepplaatsen weten te behalen in de Formula Atlantic.
IRL ziet de kijkcijfers al stijgen
