NASCAR: Subway 400 ,Rockingham
race nummer 2. does ook topic nummer 2. Ik ga iedere donderdag een preview doen en zal deze topic voor de rest van het weekend vervolledigen. So tune in zelfs als je niet van nascar houdt i'm gonna make you love it

wanneer : Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 1 p.m. ET (7 uur onze tijd)
race: Subway 400 Race No. 2 of 36 (36 u leest het goed )
track : North Carolina Speedway, Rockingham, N.C.1.017-Mile High-Banked Asphalt Oval Speedway
afstand: 400 Miles / 393 Laps
prijzengeld: $3,561,637 (te verdelen over het hele veld)
startveld: 36 snelste qualifiers+ 7 provisionals+ 43ste startplek voor een oud-kampioen ( indien niet gebruikt ook voor een provisional)
records: Qualifying: Rusty Wallace, 2/25/00, 158.035 mph, 23.167 seconds
Race: Bobby Labonte, Pontiac, 2/27/00, 127.875 mph, 3 hours, 7 minutes, 32 seconds

als je eurosport hebt kan je soms nog is een samenvatting van 5 minuten volgen. vroeger kon je filmpjes zien van de belangrijkste moment op nascar.com maar sinds de daytona 500 is dit betalen.

pole voor ricky craven en ken schrader op de outside pole
Gordon komt van de 33ste plaats.

na 100 van de 393 ronden ligt ricky craven nog steeds aan de leiding. Jeff Gordon 18de.

na 200 ronden.
Matt kenseth an de leiding. Jeff Gordon 19de. Ook even een incident melden: Mark Martin heeft de Front tire changer van Jimmie Johnsons pitcrew aangereden. Volgens de laatste berichten heeft hij iets aan zijn knie. Buckshot Jones heeft ook het medical care center mogen verlaten na een crash. Later meer.

in ronde 279 Gordon 5de grote update volg na ronde 300.

na ronde 300

matt kenseth nog steeds aan de leiding. Gordon 10de. Niet veel gebeurd in laatste 100 ronden. Laatste 93 ronden gaan in en nog steeds niets beslist.

caution in ronde 345 voor een stuk metaal op de baan. Alle rijders komen binnen voor een laatste stop. Matt Kenseth weer als eerste uit de pits . Stop van 14.xx seconden ( normale nascar stop 16sec.) Alle rijders hebben 4 nieuwe banden genomen. Gordon in 8ste.

matt kenseth wint onder caution. Sterling wordt 2de en leidt in het kampioenschap. Gordon wordt 7de. fotokes volgen later.

nog wa race facts:
racetijd: 3:29:33
17 leadchanges onder 7 verschillende leiders ( eat that F1 )
cautions:11
rondes onder caution: 58
tijd onder caution 0:52:16
