Ein Wiedersehen der besonderen Art steht dabei in Zolder Jean Alesi bevor. Im Rahmen des Ferrari-Corsos ist der Ferrari F642 mit von der Partie, mit dem der Franzose 1991 in der Formel 1 am Start war.

Der F642 von Jean Alsei aus dem Jahr 1991
Charakteristisch für dieses Auto ist neben rund 600 PS Leistung und dem brachial röhrenden V12-Motor, die einzigartige Form des Chassis: "bottle shaped" (wie eine Flasche geformt). Neben dem F642 kommen auch zwei Fahrzeuge zum Einsatz, mit denen Michael Schumacher in den Jahren 1997 und 1998 in der Formel 1 unterwegs war. In diesen Jahren leistete der amtierende Weltmeister wertvolle Entwicklungsarbeit für den italienischen Traditionsrennstall und legte den Grundstein für seine Weltmeistertitel 2000 und 2001.

Auf der Rennstrecke sind die Formel 1-Boliden am Samstag (14.55-15.30 Uhr) und am Sonntag während des Pit Walks (etwa gegen 12.00 Uhr) zu sehen sein. Die restliche Zeit können die Ferraris im Fahrerlager angeschaut werden.

Ebenfalls als Ausstellungsstücke im Fahrerlager und mit Demonstrationsrunden auf der Rennstrecke sind zwei historische Rennautos von Opel zu bewundern ? der legendäre Opel Calibra V6, das ITC-Meisterauto von 1996 (Manuel Reuter) und der Jägermeister-Opel-Omega. Außerdem werden wieder Drifteinlagen mit historischen Rallyeautos ? wie etwa dem Opel Ascona 400 ? zu sehen sein. Wie immer können Rennbesucher auch in Zolder die Mitfahrt auf dem Beifahrersitz eines zum "Renntaxi" umfunktionierten Original-DTM-Rennautos gewinnen ? eine einmalige Angelegenheit.

Neen, dat staat er zo niet letterlijk in, en dat betwijfel ik ook.

..het is gewoon de auto waarmee Jean Alesi in 1991 in de F1 aan de start stond, en het zal dus niet alleen een "blij weerzien" van Zolder-DTM zijn maar ook Alesi-Ferrari.

Historic Formula 1 Ferraris in Zolder
Next week-end, May 3-5, the DTM will be returning to Zolder for the first time in eight years. There, the DTM and its partner series, the Formula BMW ADAC championship, the ADAC VW Lupo Cup and the Porsche Carrera Cup will be providing fascinating motorsport – and an attractive support package.


The F642 of Jean Alesi 1991

Part of the event schedule are

demonstration laps with the legendary Opel Calibra V6, the ITC-title winning car of 1996 (Manuel Reuter), the Jägermeister Opel Omega as well as Formula 1 Ferraris. Moreover, breath- taking powerslides with historic rally cars, such as the Opel Ascona 400, can be seen. As always, visitors will have the chance to win a passenger ride in the “hot seat” of an original DTM race car, converted to a race taxi – really a unique affair.

In Zolder, Jean Alesi will have a special reunion. Taking part in the Ferrari corso is the very Ferrari F642, with which the French driver raced in Formula 1 in 1991. Apart from the performance of approx. 600 bhp and the brutally roaring V12-engine, another special feature of this car is the unique bottle-shaped form of the chassis.

Next to the F642, two cars will be present that were used by Michael Schumacher in Formula 1 in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In these years, the reigning world champion completed valuable development work for the traditional Italian racing team and laid the basis for his world championship titles in 2000 and 2001.

The Formula 1 cars can be seen on the race track on Saturday (14.55-15.30) and on Sunday during the pit-walk (approx. 12.00). For the rest of the week- end, the Ferraris are on display in the paddock.

Awel als ik diene foto van diene ferrari van toen zie dan denk ik: wat zijn die F1 wagens toch lelijk geworden in vergelijking met vroeger.

Komaan Fons, die ouwe F1'ns waren precies sigaren waar de piloten bovenop zaten, met overmaatse vleugels. Graptje, ik vind de nieuwe toch echt stukken mooier hoor...

mja ... mijn mening doet er niet echt toe ...

wat me opvalt dat we in meer en meer threads over een smaakverschil struikelen ... Zie ook de threads over de Ferrari F60

Er is zo een spreekwoord dat zegt ..."Over smaken en kleuren wordt niet gediscussied" ... Les Goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas ...

excuseer me voor mijn slecht Frans ...

Schitterend voorprogramma, leuk om nog eens de Opel Calibra V6 en Ferrari 641 "in het echt" te zien.

PS: Ik vind de ouwe Ferrari toch mooier dan de nieuwe

Misschien net niet; een recente ferrari kan je om de 2 weken zien.... de 1992-ferrari is gewoon een droom om op Zolder te zien! Slicks, laag bij de grond en een stukje breder dan de huidige generatie :-)

net een mailtje binnen van Zolder, er zouden 4 rijdende Ferrari F1 exemplaren zijn.

Zondag na de laatste race zou er een Demo zijn.......... wellicht om het publiek wat gespreid naar huis te laten gaan.

Op zaterdag na de laatste ritten, zijn er de DTM demoritten in "taxivorm"
