Daar had ik nog niets van vernomen . Zijn er foto's van die testen? Ik zou dolgraag de 2008-spec. van de RSR zien!

Verder is in een interview met SpeedTv aangekondigd dat AM intenties heeft om in GT1 het volledige seizoen mee te doen als ze het nodige budget kunnen verzamelen.

Dat zou mooi zijn moest AMR terug keren naar de ALMS.
Enkel de Corvette's was maar een saaie bedoening.

Met InterContinental Hotels, Hacket London en Gulf (alleen 24h Lemans?) zijn ze al aardig op weg.

PWL exit - Dyson in (2x)
Petersen/White Lightning nokt ermee. Althans voor dit jaar. Mike Petersen (de ene helft) richt zich weer op off-road races terwijl Dale White (de andere helft) niet voldoende financiële steun heeft weten te vinden om de tweevoudig GT2 kampioen opnieuw van start te laten gaan. Ze richten zich nu op 2009. Ik zie het somber in.

Gelukkig brengt Dyson opnieuw 2 Porsche Spyders aan de start in LMP2 en niet - zoals werd gefluisterd - slechts 1. De wagens zullen bestuurd worden door Chris Dyson + Guy Smith en Butch Leitzinger + (verrassend) Marino Franchitti. Voorlopig dus geen plek meer voor de vertrouwde Andy Wallace. Na het afscheid van James Weaver (eind 2006) nu dus de 2e Dyson icoon die verdwijnt. Hoe lang nog voor Leitzinger?

Vermoedelijk zien we Wallace wel terug tijdens de ALMS enduro's op Sebring en Road Atlanta. En hij rijdt de Le Mans 24H opnieuw voor RML, maar 3 races dit seizoen lijkt me een beetje weining voor deze die-hard. Zou mij niet verbazen als Andy zich op een volledig seizoen Grand-Am stort. Een verlies voor de ALMS!

Aston Martin DBR9 keert terug naar de ALMS. De auto wordt ingezet door Bell Motorsport. Antonio Garcia wordt bogelijk de coureur voor het team.

Thumbs up Nog een Acura in ALMS LMP2
Deze zag niemand aankomen: Gil de Ferran keert terug vanuit 'retirement' en gaat zijn eigen Acura inzetten in LMP2!
De keuze voor Acura is natuurlijk niet vreemd gezien zijn voormalige betrokkenheid bij het F1 team van Honda.

Dus een 4e Acura in de strijd tegen de Porsche Spyders. Verwacht het debuut overigens niet al met Sebring maar ergens voor het midden van het seizoen.

Ze wisselen Kumho in voor Yokohama. Als ze het echt zouden menen, zouden ze Michelin gebruiken

De ruitvorm over de cockpit heen is wellicht een knipoog naar het kleurenschema van de Mazda die LeMans wist te winnen.
