CART president Chris Pook is courting German companies Audi and Porsche as part of his drive to attract automobile manufacturers back to the US-based series in 2004. He said that the race in Germany, which has been reinstated on the Champ Car schedule for this year, is key to luring the nation's automotive firms into his relaunched championship. Pook said: "If you're going to have them on board, you obviously need to race in Europe."
